Choices1.jpg “Choices” is a high impact awareness program targeting impaired driving, drug use, and addiction.  With the increase of drug and alcohol use both nationally and locally, it is important to educate the community at all levels. This innovative program is a combination of open discussion, visuals, and speakers to increase the overall awareness of the effects of the consequences of risky behaviors.  “Choices” currently targets teens from the 8th grade on up, with future aspirations to include a parent sessions.

“Choices” is a free three hour program currently offered to area school districts as a field trip.  Other options are available upon request.  For more information or scheduling please call (518) 487-5400 or email

In 2014 1,678 drivers between the ages of 16 – 20 years old died in vehicle crashes.  Another 581 passengers killed when riding with their peers.  17% of US high school students have reported to drinking, smoking, or using drugs.   Prescription and illegal drug overdoses reported in the U.S in 2014 were 44,970.  As a community, we can decrease these numbers to make a safer and healthier life style for everyone.  Help prevent your child from making destructive decisions.

Introducing Albany Counties new Cab/Cop car.   This vehicle will be used as a mobile and static display to stimulate conversation about the choices we make when drinking and driving.  Our motto is “You Choose, Cab or Cuffs”.  On the car you will see we have included all the patches from our local law enforcement agencies and the new buzzed driving is drunk driving slogan.
